Summer Academy 2019


Region 14 is offering academic courses through the Summer Academy Program. The Summer Academy will be held in Region 14 at Nonnewaug High School. Students who have an average grade of 55 or better in a failed course during the 2018-19 school year are eligible for summer school.

Monday-Friday at Woodbury Middle School

TRANSPORTATION

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Summer Academy.

*Make up date July 25th if necessary

Tuition and Fees

$210.00 per class for NHS students
$310.00 per class for non-NHS students


Tuition must be paid by CASH,MONEY ORDER or CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to “Region 14 Summer Academy” NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Tuition must be paid in full when registering prior to the start of classes. Partial payments will not be accepted.

Requests for a refund must be made before the first day of class. All refunds issued after the first day of class will be subject to a $15.00 service charge.

DISCIPLINE


Region 14’s student handbook for high school describes and outlines behavioral expectations. Any discipline infraction may lead to dismissal from the Summer Academy.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on school grounds. If a student is found smoking on school grounds, he/she will receive a written warning; a second offense will result in a ticket and a fine from the Woodbury police in addition to parents being contacted.

SUPPLIES The teacher will issue textbooks on the first day of class. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE PREPARED ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS AND ALL SUBSEQUENT DAYS WITH PEN/PENCIL, NOTEBOOK AND ANY OTHER SUPPLIES REQUIRED BY THE TEACHER. Final grades will be held until textbooks are returned.
