National Daughters of the American Revolution

The Red Sox Service Scholarship

$1000 scholarship available to students with a B or above average grade point with a record of community service. Short application and information available at www.redsoxfoundation.org or for more information – stop by the CCRC! Applications due 2/16 at 5pm.

Isidore Wise Scholarship at the CT Children’s Medical Center

Applicants must plan to attend college in the fall; all students who are past or present patients are encouraged to apply! Applications can be found atwww.connecticutchildrensfoundation.org and must be submitted by March 9th.

Professional Women in Construction

Applicant must be enrolling in a study leading to a degree in Construction, Interior Design, Architecture, Landscape Design, or Civil/ Mechanical/ Structural/ and Electrical Engineering. Applications are due by 3/21 and copies are in the CCRC!

James L. and Genevieve H. Goodwin Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be from CT and enrolled in a post-secondary curriculum of silviculture or forest resource management. For all requirements please refer to the website below! Helen & Bob Brill Scholarship

Applicants should be an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community, ages 16-22, and planning to attend a college/ technical school. A scholarship of at least $1,000 will be awarded to each recipient, applications are due by 3/23/18. For the complete instructions and application, please stop by the CCRC.

American Business Women’s Association

$2,000 Scholarship available; Applicants must have a GPA of a 3.0 or better and plan to enter college in the fall of Aug. 2018. Candidates must email the ABWA Education Chairwoman for the necessary login information at findyourstuffnow@gmail.com application deadline is 3/31/18. For further information stop by the CCRC.

CT Community Foundation (Variety of Scholarships Available)

Offers a wide variety of scholarships across Connecticut; applicant must maintain a B average. For more information and application instructions, please visit http://conncf.org/apply-for-scholarships/

Harris Family Scholarship

Available via the Connecticut Community Foundation for students who reside in New Milford and plan to pursue a career in an agriculture-related field. For more information please visit http://conncf.org/apply-for-scholarships/

CT Building Congress Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be pursuing a degree in architecture, construction-related engineering, construction management, surveying, planning, or other courses related to the construction field.Scholarships range from $500-$2,000. Applications are available on the CBC website at http://www.cbc-ct.org/CBC_Scholarship and are due by 3/9/18.

Robert T. Kenney Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to 400 students who plan to attend community college, 4-year colleges/ universities, or an accredited vocational school. For more information as well as the application, please visit www.asfdn.org Applications are due by 3/31/18.

CT USBC Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a youth member or have a parent or grandparent be an active member of the USBC Assn. Additionally, the applicant must be a senior planning to enter an institute of higher learning in the fall. For more information, please stop by the CCRC. Applications are due by 3/15/18.

Glenn Moon Scholarship

Applicant must be a senior, planning to enter college in the fall to pursue a career in education. For further information please visit www.artct.org or emailglennmoon.scholarship@gmail.com Applications are due by 3/31/18.

Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship

Seeking female applicants who plan to enter college in the fall and major in education. Applications are available in the CCRC – due 3/15.

CT Nurserymen’s Foundation

Applicant must be accepted into a course of study beneficial to the Horticulture industry. The scholarship grant will be $5,000 per year, renewable if student maintains 3.0 GPA in their coursework. Woodbury FFA

There are a number of scholarships available to students in the agri-science program – please visit https://www.woodburyffa.org/scholarships all applications are due by 3/27.

Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation

Scholarship packets are now available in the CCRC! Multiple scholarships are offered, including the Torrington UNICO scholarship, the Albert & Rose Turri Scholarship (for students pursuing a career in electrical engineering), the Apolonia Stanulis and Frances Ducci scholarships (which are not major specific, as well as the United Nations Assn. Scholarship for students interested in a career in international issues and foreign language. For the application and more information, please stop by the CCRC! Applications are due 4/1/18.

First Congregational Church of Waterbury

Available to students living in the Greater Waterbury area; Scholarship granted on the basis of Scholastic standing, financial need, and Church/ Community involvement. Due 4/1, stop by the CCRC for an application.

Torrington UNICO Scholarship

Numerous scholarships are available to seniors; applications and specific requirements are available at www.northwestcf.org – all applications are due by 4/1.

EdAdvance Scholarship

EdAdvance is offering a $1,500 college scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must provide a 500-word essay on the topic volunteerism or leadership service to school/ community. For more information please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K3JL9WL Applications are due by April 5th.

Gertrude Wells Russell – Marie B. Wells Scholarship

Applicant must provide a resume, one page essay, three references, and a copy of your transcript. Applications must be postmarked by 4/15. For more information please stop by the CCRC!

Dennis Malone Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to applicants who are planning to attend a two or four year college in the fall, and will be pursuing a career in park management, forestry, horticulture, agronomy, or a closely related field. Applications are available at www.ctparks.org and must be returned no later than 4/20 to Gerard G. Toner, Director, Simsbury Parks and Rec., 933 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT 06070.

Joseph and Yvonne LeClair Scholarship

Available to a Watertown/Oakville Boy Scout; must have been an active member for a minimum of two years and are in good standing. For more information please stop by the CCRC! Applications are due by 4/1.

Torrington Savings Bank

Applicant (or parent/ guardian) must have an account at Torrington Savings Bank. The scholarship is structured as a four-year award and students will receive $2,500 for up to four years of post-secondary education. Easterseals

Available to students with disabilities for tuition assistance in connection with their post-secondary education. Applications can be downloaded atwww.easterseals.com/waterburyct and are due by 5/4.

Great Hill United Methodist Church

The McKane Scholarship is available to a senior from Seymour or Oxford who plans to attend a college or university in the fall. For more information please stop by the CCRC or visit www.greathillumc.org Applications are due 5/4.

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship (Available to past graduates)

Available to undergraduates who were athletes at the high school level; Applicant does not need to be an athlete at the college level; $1,000 available in awards; Applicant must be a former high school athlete who are enrolled as a full-time student at a two or four-year college. Southbury Garden Club

Available to seniors who plan to study horticulture or a related field in college and must be a Southbury resident. For more information stop by the CCRC – applications are due by 6/1.

Waterbury Teacher’s Credit Union Scholarships
4 College Scholarships:
Granted to four June 2018 graduating high school seniors, who are WCTFCU Members
3 General Scholarships:
- Two (2) one-time $2,000 General Scholarships granted to outstanding students entering any field of study.
- One (1) 2- year General Scholarship, granted at $2,000 per year, for the most outstanding student, entering any field of study. Total grant is $4,000; second consecutive year grant of $2,000 will be awarded based upon Freshman year GPA.
The Jean O'Brien Memorial Scholarship: Granted to one outstanding student who has committed to pursuing a declared, 4-year Education Major. Granted at $2,000 per year for up to 4 consecutive years of college ($8,000 total). Consecutive years' grants are dependent upon student's year-end GPA each year.

Eligibility & Selection of Scholarship Winners
2018 Graduating high school seniors, who are members of the Waterbury CT Teachers Federal Credit Union are eligible to apply. Not yet a member? Immediate family members of WCTFCU Members are eligible to join. Join now and apply for a scholarship! Click here for membership info and to apply online for membership.
Recipients are selected, through an anonymous review of all applications and a vote by the Scholarship Committee, a subcommittee of the WCTFCU Board of Directors. All applicants will be contacted prior to July 1st, regardless of whether or not they have won a scholarship.
