The Nonnewaug High School Community believes that all students have the right and responsibility to achieve their full potential and students are provided with the knowledge, skills, and understandings needed to become productive, compassionate citizens.

Nonnewaug High School houses approximately 675 students in grades 9- 12 from the towns of Woodbury and Bethlehem. The high school is also home to the Ellis Clark Regional Agriscience and Technology Program that includes 200 students from surrounding towns, as well as those in the region, who opt for an agricultural and vocational high school experience.

Nonnewaug’s primary purpose is to provide students access to a challenging and comprehensive program of studies. Inclusive of academic, college preparatory, honors, and advanced placement courses, our program of study positions students at Nonnewaug High School to be active participants and life-long learners in the 21st century. It is designed to create a balance, impart a body of knowledge, and provide the skills needed for lifelong learning. Nonnewaug emphasizes the intellectual growth of students as well as nurturing the physical, emotional, social, ethical and aesthetic development of all our students.

With local chapters of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Tri-M Music Society, National Art Honor Society, Student Council, FFA Chapter, DECA Chapter, Leo Club and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America.) as well as many other athletic and extra curricular activities, students at Nonnewaug High School have many unique opportunities to further themselves as academic and responsible leaders.
