Principal's Message

August 11, 2017

Dear BES Community!

I am getting very excited! In 19 days, I will be greeting your children as they arrive to school on August 30th. There is nothing better than seeing those shining, eager little faces with their squeaky new sneakers, slicked hair-do’s, ear-to-ear grins and oh yes, the bear hugs!!!!

The staff at BES will do all they can, their ‘personal best’, to ensure those eager faces remain that way throughout the school year. Our goal is to foster an excitement for learning and for taking risks. We want our children to not fear failure, understand that it is ‘productive struggle’, and that mistakes lead to new learning. We will model that growth mindset on a daily basis.

We will ensure your children know they are in a safe, caring environment that will encourage, support and cheer them on as they persevere and challenge themselves. That is our promise to you! Know that when your child walks through the front doors, they are in their ‘home away from home’. We can’t do it without you as partners- parents are their ‘first and forever’ teachers!

Looking forward to a year filled with energy, risk-taking, growth, and many, many ‘ah ha’ moments!
