There is a growing concern with students and cell phones. We recognize the need for students to have cell phones in school and realize that they can be a severe distraction. Students were reminded in an all-school announcement and during lunch that cell phones need to be kept in backpacks during the school day. Students are allowed to briefly check their phones at the beginning of I block for messages. Students should not be sending text messages or looking at social media during the school day.
If there is an important message that needs to be delivered immediately, please contact the main office at 203-263-4306.
Students who do not comply with the cell phone policy will have their phones taken and returned to them at the end of the day. Refusal to relinquish cell phones will result in more severe consequences. Second-time offenders will have their phones taken and will require a parent to pick up the phone.
