The staff of the NHS Chief Advocate, which consists of 24 reporters and six editors, continues to cover all aspects of the Nonnewaug community. “Hamlin’s Injury Raises Questions for Local Sports: Are We Prepared for the Worst?” by Richie Paolino – Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s on-field cardiac arrest sent shockwaves through the sports world and caused the athletics staff at Nonnewaug to reflect on its emergency procedures.

“7 Nonnewaug Seniors Officially Join the NCAA Level” by Juliette Nichols and Julianna Bellagamba – More than a half-dozen Chiefs, including three softball players and two baseball players, have signed to play collegiate sports next year.

“Pillis Dedicates Eagle Scout Project to ‘Future of Agriculture’” by Madelynn Orosz – Senior Amelia Pillis’ project at the river behind Nonnewaug’s sports complex will leave a positive impact for students and the community.

“No Mystery Why ‘Clue’ a Hit for Nonnewaug Drama” by Maia Colavito – Actors and audiences alike praised the fall performance by the Nonnewaug Drama Club.

“To: College Students, From: Idaho” by Izzy DiNunzio – The murder of four University of Idaho students in November rattled the Nonnewaug community, including one alumna who attended the school.
