Because of the high level of interest in our program, the admissions process has become very competitive for the 2020 - 2021 school year. The first step in the process is to complete the entire application and submit it to your school’s guidance department. Be sure to submit it as early as possible to allow time to compile all the related information and letters of recommendation before the December 4th deadline. Late applications will not be considered in the initial review period and will be added directly to the Waitlist.
- Use the link above to assess the Agriscience Application as a .pdf. Please complete the student portions of the application student labeled Pages 1-8.
- Request your letters of recommendation from a teacher and personal references that will be completed and sent to your guidance counselor. Digital and paper copies will both be accepted. If you choose to email reference pages directly, the following links have been made available.
- Submit the application to your guidance counselor for them to review and submit other required documents.
In addition, to a completed application, your guidance counselor will include a complete transcript from your current school as well as any standardized testing scores and disciplinary records that are available at the time of the application.
A committee reviews applications at the end of the second marking period in January 2021. The committee bases its decisions on several areas including the applicant’s demonstrated interest in agriculture (employment or volunteer work), and community involvement (4-H, youth groups, and other similar activities). They also take into consideration grades, attendance, behavior and the ability of Nonnewaug High School to provide any required special services.
We appreciate your interest in the Ellis Clark Regional Agriscience and Technology Program.
