Scheduling Team Assistance Reminders
Please remember to call our scheduling team for the following:
- CANCEL/MODIFY an absence.
- Assistance CREATING an assignment.
- CHANGES to an existing assignment.
- Assistance ASSIGNING a substitute teacher in Frontline.
- If you are REQUESTING a specific substitute teacher for a future assignment.
Last minute absences - an employee will not be able to put in their own same day absence if it is less than an hour before the start of school.
Notify Kelly if a scheduled substitute teacher DOES NOT SHOW for a scheduled assignment.
Any absences to be CREATED WITHIN ONE HOUR of school start time, will be required to be phoned into the KES Service Center at (800) 991-5157 - Option #1.
It is important to call this number first before calling our local team as they are open outside of our local hours and have more resources available for phone calls to assist you sooner.

Note: Region 14 Schools, based on the mutual agreement between the Professional Development and Evaluation Committee (PDEC) and the Board of Education, will be extending the use of the Flexibilities for Implementing the Connecticut Guidelines for Educator Evaluation 2017 (Flexibilities 2021-22) for the 2021-22 School Year into the 2022-2023 school year. As approved by the State of Connecticut's Department of Education, the extension will allow consistency in evaluation while the State develops new guidelines for educator evaluation. After the new guidelines are released, Region 14's PDEC will develop a new evaluation process which will then be brought to the Board of Education for approval.
