Region 14 Fine Arts

The mission of the Region 14 Fine Arts Department is to offer a program of study through creating, presenting, performing, connecting, and responding that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make the arts a meaningful part of everyday life.

Fine Arts courses prepare Region 14 students to become active, culturally aware adults. All courses in the Fine Arts provide the means for expressing and communicating thoughts, feelings, and experiences and provide the gifts of vision, appreciation, and joy for students to take into the world. 

Students will experience art as a visual language involving a unique body of knowledge. Music classes give students the opportunities to create, perform, and respond to music in a way that prepares them to understand and experience music through a variety of styles and musical genres. Media Art and Technology classes give our students ways to explore the arts through video recording and editing, audio recording and editing, video game design, and computer animation courses.
