Power Hour at MES Gives Students Creative Choices
Before Spring Break, Mitchell Elementary School held a Power Hour where students could choose from over 20 workshops led by faculty members. The workshops gave students a chance to work on many STEM and creative areas including Duct Tape Flower Making, creating Simple Machines, Hula Hooping, Commercial and Film Acting, and more. This fun-filled hour promotes student engagement and a sense of community and exemplifies the Vision of a Learner attributes of Taking Initiative, Collaboration, and Adapt and Adjust.
