MES Student Council Food & Gift Drives Help Local Residents For the Holidays
Mitchell Elementary School's Student Council spearheaded two successful collections to benefit Woodbury residents for the upcoming holidays. The Student Council held a Food Drive in November that resulted in nearly 1,000 pounds of food for the Woodbury Food Bank. This will help residents with food insecurity throughout the holidays.
The Student Council also collected donations for the MES Giving Tree that supports the Community Service Council of Woodbury’s Holiday Gift Drive for both children and senior citizens of Woodbury. Today, the MES 5th-grade Student Council members were on hand to deliver the gifts and the food to the CSCW/Food Bank representatives. Well done, MES Eagles!
