MES Kicks Off Read Across America Week With Guest Readers

It's the beginning of March and that means Read Across America week!

The annual event began on Monday, and although there were a few delays and snow days here, our elementary school students were happy to find out they are reading "A Boy Called BAT" for the One Book, Two Schools reading event.

Today, MES welcomed a variety of guest readers into the classrooms. School administrators, Board of Education members, representatives from the Town of Woodbury including the First Selectman, librarians, Food Bank, the WVFD, and members of the FFA at Nonewaug High School (and furry friends) stopped by to read several chapters to students today. The One Book, Two Schools is new for this year and Region 14 elementary school students at both schools will be reading "A Boy Called BAT" this month.
