District
Regional School District 14 is located in Litchfield County, Connecticut and serves students in the towns of Bethlehem and Woodbury. The district includes two Pre-K – 5 elementary schools, one middle school for grades 6 through 8, and one high school for grades 9 through 12. The district includes the Ellis Clark Regional Agriscience and Technology Program that enrolls students from both within Region 14 as well as neighboring towns. The district also includes an integrated special education preschool program.

District Formation
Regional School District #14 was formed on May 20, 1968 when voters approved the 1968 Regional District Agreement between the towns of Bethlehem and Woodbury. Voters in Bethlehem supported the plan by a vote of 534 to 68 and voters in Woodbury supported the plan by a vote of 773 to 18. The plan was enacted on November 30, 1970 when Region 14 Board of Education Chair, Mary Lou Allen, Bethlehem First Selectman, Samuel J. Swendsen, and Woodbury First Selectman, Frank E. Shepheard Jr. signed this agreement.
District Improvement Plan
Annually, the Region 14 Board of Education adopts a series of goals designed to keep the school system on a path of continuous improvement. Goals are written in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and student achievement. They become the focus of our work during the year. Progress on each goal is measured at various times and this information is reported to the Board of Education. In addition to the District Improvement Plan, each school has its own plan that addresses the achievement needs of students attending that school.
Our Towns
Bethlehem is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut. The population was 3,385 at the 2020 census. Bethlehem was founded in 1787. The office is located at 36 Main St. South.
