Curriculum and Instruction
The Philosophy behind the Region 14 School District’s curricular development is to educate all children to a high level of performance. Each curriculum should address the national and state standards for that specific discipline. The objectives from the state standardized tests should be aligned with the objectives in each curriculum. In addition, best practices for instruction and assessment should be utilized.
The Region 14 School District’s curricula should reflect the district’s Mission Statement, “We, the educational community of the Region 14 School District, are dedicated to creating a quality, dynamic learning environment so that each individual learner becomes a respected contributing member of the community with values, skills and resources that promote the advancement of society.” and it’s Core Beliefs.
