NHS Student Activities and Handbooks

Nonnewaug High School offers many experiences both within the school and outside of the regular school day that are designed to promote student achievement and success in school and in life.

Students have access to a generous listing of after school clubs and activities that run the gamut from arts to technology and everything in between. Students can participate in clubs with a wide variety of interests including performing and fine arts clubs, jazz and singing groups, world language clubs, and a robotics team just to name a few.

Students are also given opportunities to participate in student council and valuable public service and peer leadership programs including Future Business Leaders of America and Leo Club. There is also a full service Ion Bank and a School Store that gives students the hands on experience of the business world within the walls of the school.

Parking and Parking Permits

Senior students must see the office for Parking Permits.

Visitor parking has clearly marked spaces adjacent to the Agriscience building. The bus loop area in front of the school is reserved for busses only. It will remain closed to all other vehicles at all times. When dropping off or picking up students, do so outside of the bus loop and utilize the visitor parking spaces if it is necessary to park.
